Since the Argentinean economic crisis of 2001, on the streets of Buenos Aires more than 6,000 “Cartoneros” push their handcarts to collect the recyclable material of the household waste. Despite their daily presence facets of their work are hidden to the urban population, as the waste collectors usually appear at dusk in trains and trucks from the poorest areas of the province. The film remains close to them and shows the stories behind their handcarts.

The father, Victor Oshkin, is an orthodox communist, the leader of Labor party department of Saratov region. The entire world in Nadiezhda’s life fits into small room in the house on the hill and her daily routine. She wakes up every morning to repeat the same daily rituals she did yesterday: to carry water in and out, to fire old oven, to launder, to cook for herself and for the animals huddling around her. In the evening her energy expires and the roaring emptiness enters into her small world.

With its 130,000 inhabitants, Petrzalka is the biggest neighborhood in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. Three generations have grown up here since it was built. People are dying and being born, a new chapter of history is being written, one that is not perceptible from the outside, but only from the inside, from the point of view of our memories and our intimate personal stories. The movie portrays several people living in this featureless world of concrete, trying to find a place for themselves in this jungle of blocks of flats where they could put down roots.
Life is a big ball that we have to push up a steep hill. All it takes is a single slip to set the ball rolling back down, leaving us with no other option but to start from the bottom again... „Sisyphus“ is a portrait of a former drug addict who has moved to a little house in the country, away from civilization, and spends his time making origami in the loft. Sometimes art is the easiest way to start from scratch.

“Urban Tundra” is an observing documentary about homelesness and faith. A very big snowstorm named “Monica” hits Tallinn, Estonia in December 2010 and the filmcrew visited a soupkichen dedicated to people in need. The film tries to observe the activities during Christmas holiday and document how people in need are couping with the ongoing storm.
